On 3 May 2025, the charitable trust under CSI (the Trust), in collaboration with Po Leung Kuk (PLK), held the launch ceremony for the Youth Mental Health Advanced Programme at PLK Stanley Ho Sau Nan Primary School. The programme aims to create sustainable impact on the mental wellbeing of young individuals through a diverse array of activities, including the Human Library projects and the 鈥淢ental Health Youth Ambassadors鈥 scheme. Funded by the Trust鈥檚 HKD 659,000 donation last year, the programme spans from May 2025 to June 2026 and is expected to benefit nearly 102,000 people.

Building on the success of the inaugural Youth Mental Health Programme of the previous year, which benefitted over 166,000 individuals both online and offline, the Advanced Programme this year will connect two pivotal themes: 鈥淓mpathy鈥 ( 鍏 鎰 ) and 鈥淐ompanionship鈥 ( 鍚 琛 ). This initiative encourages young people to learn how to empathize and understand the emotional challenges faced by others through shared experiences.

During the ceremony, two young performers uniquely combined music and sand art to spread positive energy among participants, encouraging them to care more about their own mental health and that of those journeying alongside them.

The ceremony also featured four engaging workshops, including a FlashDisc competition, sand art creation, Zen doodling design, and African drum ensemble. These workshops provided an immersive experience for students and our Community Outreach volunteers, allowing them to explore various stress-relief techniques.

In the coming months, the programme will introduce more on-campus activities, including multi-media content creation workshops, a short film competition and school tour screenings, further enhancing its educational impact and expanding its outreach. Stay tuned for more updates.
